This will help me get the last addition to my tank, Thank you……..
I thought my tank was 60 gallon arcryllic, but someone who has more experience than I do which I have 17+ years, told me that my tank is closer to 100 gallons, it’s way to big for 60, so yeah, I have all reef I have a blue hippo, powder blue tang, 3 butterflies, 2 percula clowns, a Naso tang, palani tang, orange shoulder tang, koran angel, saddleback wrasse, christmas wrasse, dragon wrasse and a squirrelfish. I was wondering why they had plenty of swimming room.
Anyways, Marine fish is saltwater fish, gouramis are freshwater fish fyi………..
I know 15-20 fish is a lot for a 90-100 gallon tank, but one more will be enough, I just want variety of colors along with the live rocks and some coral.
Triggerfishes is cool, but they are very aggressive and my experience with triggerfish is really bad, he ate my other fish, so as much as I would like them, I cannot add them to my tank. Thanks…………
Catlover, yes you are correct, and because majority of the fishes will get pretty big, I think you’re right, there is enough fishes in there, however, I do have another tank already cycled for extra fish, but I like your answer. With 7+ years experience of marine aquariums, and 10+ years of freshwater tanks, I can make it work, however, I’ll go by your advice of not adding any more to my bigger tank. Thanks for your answer, I’ll be waiting on seeing others and I’ll choose who has the best answer within the next 24 hours. Once again, thank you for your answer…………
BigGourami, yes I do know that Butterflies and Koran angels will eat my live rock and coral, however, in my tank, they haven’t been eating the corals and live rock because I got them to feed on flakes which took awhile to do so because they’re so fragile and they are picky on eating certain diets. I do have experience with them, but I know what I’m doing and yes they’re doing really well right now. But I do have the knowledge of that and I also thank you for your concerns and your answer is one of the top answers so far as well. Thank you………….

1. ClownFish
2. Blue Hippo Tangs
3. Yellow Tangs
I Really Dont Know Why…
I like gouramis because they look really cool and come in many different colors, etc. but they are really easy to take care of =)
well.. how big is your tank? and what’s in it? is it a reef tank?
my favorite small, reef safe fish, is the blue spotted jawfish
small, not reef safe fish, pink spotted puffer
large reef safe, sohal tang
large not reef safe, longfin bannerfish, or V tail grouper
of course price and availibility should also be considerations.. the BSJ for example commonly exceeds $120.. same with the sohal tang
well sorry to burst any bubbles, but koran angels and 99% of butterlfies aren’t reef safe…
as with almost all triggers.. but there are a few exceptions to both..
if you told us the dimensions of the tank i could tell you how big the tank is..
reccomendations for a trigger for a reef tank? pinktails, crosshatch, niger, blue throats
recc. for a butterfly for a reef? schooling bannerfish (NOT the black and white or longfin bannerfish, there is a difference)
longnose and big longnose butterfly, copperbanded, and certain individual addis butterflies
triggerfish cuz they look cool
HumaHuma Trigger is a burst of color, you have lots of blue and yellows and some orange, i would look for some reds, I would try inverts..Coral Banded Shrimp, hanging stars, or Pj Cardinal has nice coloring, You have some aggressive fish there, and if your clowns are the bigger ones like the tomatos or maroons, I will not have a tank without a Russels Lion fish….
I just traded mine for a fuzzy Dwarf…you could go with a fu manchu…I hated maintaining a whole 75 gallon for 1 fish….but the triggers or lionfish you cannot go wrong with.
You have enough fish now maybe too many but i know u will add more. I would not.
