BioCube light Ballast not working?

ziddyziddy asked:

I have a biocube 14 and it was working perfectly for about 2 weeks and then all of a sudden one morning one of my 24 watt light ballasts(one of eth ones that is included with the tank) stopped working. I took off the light cover and i switched the bulbs and both bulbs worked so it has to be the ballast. How do i fix this problem? it’s slowing me down setting up my nano reef tank. Should i just call Oceanic and get a new one? will they do that? or can i try to fix it myself?

jbj nano cube owners or aquarium experts ?

Andrew C asked:

here’s the deal. Did any of you owners made mistakes with the nano cube? well my question is 1. did you ever leave the pump on, while doing a water change, and the pump shot rough water out? yes, no? 2. did you ever get little bit of sand in the intake, where the sponge is, and if the sand did go in the intake, the sand will stop it? yes or no 3. if my intake ( where the surface skimmer is ) is vacuuming , and the pump is shooting water, does that mean my nano cube is okay? ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS like this 1. yes, I have left the pump on or no I havent etc etc. 2. etc. etc. THANKS! and one more, my tank is going to be find right?
