I’m wanting to sell coral and fish from my reef aquarium, but I don’t know where or what to use as bagging for the livestock transportation when I give it to the buyers. Should I go to a fish store and see if they’ll sell some bags to me?
definitely check your local pet store
You can buy little cheap containers at the dollar store, or better quality ones at the wall-mart fish section. That way you can sell the fish and the nice containers they come in. Once when my dad came back from doing a wedding gig, he brought home little gold fish in these clear glass containers with ribbons around them. They looked nice, and they’re cheap.
Small warning! You are supposed to have or get a breeders license to sell fish and live coral. Hopefully no one finds out, but if they do yo will be heavily fined. Google breeders license. As for the bags ask your local fish store.
You don’t say if you’re shipping them or if you’re just selling to your neighbors. Either way you do not need a license to sell fish. People sell fish every day on Ebay and don’t have one. Also you can buy fish bags on Ebay. If you are shipping them it is very expensive. Fish have to be double baged, Then put into an insulated styrofoam box then into a corrigated box. Also you may need cool packs or heat packs inside the styro box. If you ship buy USPS or UPS it will cost you about $24.00 to $33.00 to ship. If you do Fedex it’s around $44.00. That’s just for one fish.
The pet store will not sell you any bags if you are selling them illegally.
